# Strata AI

> Strata AI (WeAreStrata Limited) builds software for UK housing associations and local authorities that have to show how they reached a decision. Two products: Requests by Strata AI, for subject access, freedom of information and erasure requests, and Strata | Contracts, which checks invoices against the rules in the contracts behind them.

Strata | Contracts uses AI to read a contract and propose the rules inside it. The organisation's own experts confirm those rules, which are then frozen; when a contract changes, only the changed parts are read again. Invoices are checked against the confirmed rules without a call to an AI model, so the same input gives the same answer and any decision can be replayed later.

Requests by Strata AI runs each request as a case through a fourteen-state lifecycle, with statutory deadlines calculated including UK bank holidays, identity verification, Microsoft 365 search, personal data detection, redaction that removes the underlying content, and an independent release check that blocks release if it cannot pass.

Both are deployed into a dedicated tenancy inside the customer's own Microsoft Azure subscription and connect through standard data exports and APIs, with no migration of existing systems.
