Strata AI is the trading name of WeAreStrata Limited, a UK company that builds software for organisations that have to justify decisions after the fact. We work with housing associations and local authorities, where every payment and every disclosure can be questioned months later by a tenant, a supplier, an auditor or a regulator.
Our founders have spent their careers in and around the UK public sector: running technology for central and local government, building public sector digital companies, and running accounts payable teams. We built Strata around what we saw there. The rules that should govern a decision are almost always written down. What is missing is a way to check every decision against them, and to keep the working.
We built Requests by Strata AI with a housing association that was handling every request by hand. Strata products are built on Strata Recursive Logic™, our patent pending approach to turning documents into rules people confirm and the system applies consistently.

Neal Gandhi
Founder & Chief Executive
Neal has built a series of successful companies at the forefront of every technology wave over the last 30 years. From the Internet, to agile development, to cloud computing, to AI, Neal has built companies that have featured in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 Fastest Growing UK Tech Companies. Most recently, he founded TPXimpact, a public sector digital transformation company that grew from zero to £83m revenue in 6 years via a successful IPO on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. Neal is also a trustee at The English Stage Company (Royal Court Theatre) and Lumos Foundation. He also runs the Neal & Dominique Gandhi Foundation with his wife and has given over £1m to UK public causes since 2020.

Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Stuart is an award-winning technology Leader having been listed multiple times in the CIO 100 list and having appeared in the BCS UK Industry CIO Top 5 list. He has held numerous CTO/CIO/CISO roles across central and local government, utilities and financial services including Head of Digital & Data at UK Civil Service, CTO/CIO at Monmouthshire County Council, Wales & West Utilities and Investec. He was Group CTO at TPXimpact where he worked with Neal for several years.

Dave Gardner
Founder and Product Manager
With more than 20 years experience across central government, finance, utilities and housing, Dave has delivered many products and programmes for organisations such as Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, Legal & General, Wales & West Utilities, Welsh Government and Ministry of Justice UK to name but a few. His career has also involved him running a 13 person Accounts Payable team in a public sector shared services team and as such has been instrumental in the design of the Strata Contract Compliance product.

Julia Wojciechowska
Founder and Senior Engineer
Julia has worked on a variety of projects for organisations such as Wales & West Utilities, the Central Digital & Design Office in central government. She has a wealth of experience designing and building production systems from architecture through deployment including cloud infrastructure (IaC), data pipelines and AI-powered applications. Together with Craig Fall, Julia has been instrumental in building out Strata’s platform and products.

Founder and Senior Engineer
Craig is a highly experienced full stack developer and has worked across multiple sectors including central government, utilities and financial services. With experience across software architecture, platform architecture, devops and full stack development, Craig has worked extensively on the Microsoft Azure platform for more than 10 years.
